FINAL Sleeping Bag Project Meeting of the Season *April 7th*

Pittsburgh Parish sleeping bag projectMonday, April 7 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m at New Hope UMC We will have our final meeting of the season to work on sleeping bags for our homeless neighbors. We will start back again in early September.  Please consider joining us – the more the merrier!  We have delivered over 50 sleeping bags this past winter to various shelters in the Pittsburgh area – Light of Life on the North Side and The Shepherd’s Heart Home for Veterans on Pride Street have received the bulk of our sleeping bags. Many thanks to Anne Christianson, Terri Howell, Ellie Laws, Tammy Phillips, Mark Rehn, Mike Schnitgen, Pam Smith, Joan Bradley, Debbie Uzarski and Heema Chuong for their dedication, hard work and fellowship during these long, cold winter months.

 

Sleeping Bag Project

No sewing experience is required.

We distributed over 50 sleeping bags to area shelters, The Pittsburgh Project, and through the Feed the Sheep program at New Hope.  It is a fun and worthwhile project and we hope you’ll consider joining us.
