We distributed over 50 sleeping bags to area shelters, The Pittsburgh Project, and through the Feed the Sheep program at New Hope. Area churches are joining with Light of Life Rescue Mission and Urban Impact to prepare 250 Thanksgiving baskets.
These baskets will be personally delivered to neighbors that have homes but need help with providing a nice big Thanksgiving meal for their families. Calvary UMC has committed to collecting 250 cans of cranberry sauce to be included in the baskets. The deadline is Sunday, November 24.
We will set up a space in the chapel area where the cans of cranberry sauce can be dropped off. If you have any questions or would like to help pack and/or deliver the baskets, please call Lynn or Dave Sevick at 724-272-9478.
